Relief efforts for Maui and Greece

Maui Fires: Prayers continue for the people of Maui who were devastated by the fires in August 2023. Many people in Lahaina lost their homes, and are in shelters where they are receiving food and basic life necessities. The Maui Greek Orthodox Mission parish will continue to provide necessary items for these families. They are grateful for the outpouring of support to assist in their local relief efforts. Online donations can be made here, or checks can be mailed to: Maui Greek Orthodox Mission, MEMO: Fire Relief; P.O. Box 532642, Kihei, HI 96753. You can also contact them through email at: firerelief@mauimission.org.

Floods & Fires in Greece: National Philoptochos is committing $25,000 to assist with relief efforts in Greece following the devastating fires and floods. These catastrophic events have caused immense suffering and loss in Greece, and National Philoptochos stands in solidarity with the affected communities. National Philoptochos is working closely with the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) to ensure our funds are effectively allocated to provide essential support to those affected. Philoptochos chapters and supporters are requested to forward their contributions to the dedicated fund, understanding that these funds will be held until we receive and review project proposals from IOCC. Your generosity will play a crucial role in aiding the affected communities in Greece during this challenging time.

Donations from Philoptochos Chapters, Metropolises, and Individuals can be sent to the National Philoptochos Society at 126 East 37th Street, New York, NY 10016, earmarked for National Philoptochos "2023 Floods and Fires in Greece," or you can donate online to this National Philoptochos Appeal at https://ppay.co/XqHyPUXSqVY.
